The Maxxfan Deluxe roof fan has become the top choice of van upfitters for the simple reason that they have a built in rain guard. Traditional lid vents like Fantastic Vents let rain in when fully open. The Maxxfan can operate with the lid open or closed, and has a rain guard that allows it to be open even in heavy sideways rain. We prefer the model with automatic opening lid and remote for ease of use; it also has a thermostat so will open itself and turn on when the van heats up in the morning sun. They're really the best!
